Terms of Use & Editorial Policy
How we report on the five boroughs independently, and the terms governing your use of SuperNYC Magazine.
Effective Date: October 30, 2026
No Paid Placements
SuperNYC never accepts money, free meals, or comped tickets in exchange for inclusion in our articles, neighborhood guides, or deals hub.
Verify Before You Go
NYC restaurants, museum hours, happy hour specials, and MTA lines change rapidly. Always confirm current hours and terms directly with the venue.
Original Journalism
All SuperNYC articles, neighborhood field guides, and curation are protected by copyright and may not be republished or scraped commercially.
1. Editorial Independence & Ethics Policy
SuperNYC is an independent digital publication organized across three specialized five-borough desks (Dining & Nightlife, Culture & Neighborhoods, and City & Transit).
- Anonymous, Unpaid Visits: Our correspondents visit restaurants, bars, bakeries, and cultural venues anonymously and pay our own tabs. We do not accept payment, complimentary meals, or press-junket conditions in exchange for positive coverage.
- No Undisclosed Affiliate Links: Links in our Venue Location Cards and Deals Hub point directly to the official venue, museum, or transit website so readers get primary-source information without middleman markups.
- Visuals & Editorial Illustrations: Select atmospheric imagery and visual illustrations across SuperNYC may include AI-assisted editorial illustrations alongside original photography to evoke the character and architecture of the five boroughs without depicting specific proprietary trademarks or private individuals.
- Corrections: If a venue changes its address, hours, price point, or closes permanently, please alert our editors via the Submit a Tip button or pitches@supernyc.com so we can update the field guide promptly.
2. Venue, Deal, Transit & Housing Disclaimers
New York City is a living, constantly changing metropolis. While our editorial desks verify addresses, subway stops, price ranges, happy hours, museum free-admission windows, and Broadway lottery rules at the time of publication:
- Venues & Deals: Restaurants, bars, and cultural institutions may modify their menus, pricing, happy hour schedules, reservation requirements, or admission policies at any time without notice. Always check the official venue website linked on each card before making a special trip.
- MTA Transit Status: Live subway status and station advisories displayed on SuperNYC are provided for convenience using public transit feeds and may not reflect sudden track work, reroutes, or emergency delays. Always consult official MTA signage and announcements in the station.
- Tenant & Financial Information: Articles in our Living section covering NYC apartment hunting, rent stabilization, and tenant rights are provided for general informational and journalistic purposes only and do not constitute formal legal or financial advice.
3. Reader Tips, Pitches & Submissions
When you submit a neighborhood tip, deal lead, or story pitch through SuperNYC’s Submit a Tip modal or via email:
- You confirm that the information you are sharing is truthful to the best of your knowledge and does not violate any third party’s confidentiality or intellectual property rights.
- You grant SuperNYC a non-exclusive, royalty-free right to investigate, independently verify, edit, and publish editorial coverage inspired by your tip across our digital publication.
- If you check the confidential insider tip option, our editorial team will never publish your name or moniker alongside the resulting story.
4. Intellectual Property & Permitted Use
All original text, articles, neighborhood guides, deal curation, custom graphics, and design elements on SuperNYC are owned by SuperNYC Magazine or its licensors and are protected by United States and international copyright laws.
You are welcome to share links to SuperNYC articles and quote brief excerpts with clear attribution and a direct link back to the original SuperNYC URL. Automated bulk scraping, commercial republication, or framing of SuperNYC content without prior written permission is strictly prohibited.
5. Limitation of Liability & Governing Law
SuperNYC is provided on an “as-is” and “as-available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, SuperNYC Magazine and its contributors shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, or incidental damages arising from your reliance on venue hours, deal availability, transit advisories, or third-party links featured on the site.
These Terms of Use are governed by the laws of the State of New York, with exclusive venue in the state and federal courts located in New York County, New York.
